Thanksgiving is past, and in Suwanee, that means Christmas cheer in Old Town is not far behind.

The city's annual Caboose Lighting and Holiday Festival will be held Friday, November 30, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the end of Main Street near the red caboose, according to a city news release.

The familiar routine will be in effect again. Student choruses from Level Creek, Riverside, Roberts, and Suwanee elementary schools will perform, and Santa will arrive in a tractor-pulled sleigh. (See the attached Patch video from the 2011 event).

Later, Santa will hear childrens' Christmas wishes at the Burnette-Rogers Pavilion, and parents can snap their childrens' pictures.

Hot chocolate, cookies, and s'mores will be served, and craft activities will be available. This event is free and open to the public.
