A man demanded cash at gunpoint from a store employee.

Armed Robbery Thursday at Rite Aid Pharmacy
A man pointed a gun at a female employee at Rite Aid in Tucker Thursday night and took cash from the register, DeKalb Police reported.

The robber is described as a white male in his mid-twenties, wearing a black baseball cap, a black hooded sweater, grey pants and armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. Police say he also had tattoos on the right side of his neck and on his fingers.

The employee, Evette Haynes of Lithonia, said the suspect approached the counter with candy in his hand and asked her how much it would cost. When she replied $2.05, the man said he was short five cents and had to get it from his car. He then pulled out his weapon and demanded money from two cash registers. Haynes was not injured.

The suspect left the store through the front door with an unspecified amount of cash.
