Tucker High's Principal Gets Regional Honor

James Jackson of Tucker High has been named a DeKalb County School District (DCSD) Regional Principal of the Year.

Jackson has 17 years of experience with DCSD, having taught at Jones County High before coming to Tucker.

"I am honored to be selected by my peers," he told Patch Tuesday. Asked why he was picked, he replied, "I do not know. Every principal deserves this honor."

There are four other principals named by the district, and a winner will be announced on May 17.
