Woodstock Outlet Mall Reopens After Power Outage (UPDATED)

Traffic lights along Ridgewalk Parkway are now operating normally, the city added.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Power is back on along Ridgewalk Parkway and at the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta, as crews have put out a transformer fire that brought things in the area to a virtual standstill.

The transformer fire was originally reported late Thursday morning along Ridgewalk Parkway at Meridian Drive, and took out traffic signals at intersections along Ridgewalk Parkway. It also forced the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta to temporarily close its doors.

Georgia Power originally said about 1,156 customers were affected by the outage. Woodstock city spokesperson said the cause of the fire has not been determined, but noted it was not due to a traffic accident.
