The two-day festival will be held Saturday May 31 from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 1 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Park at City Center. The park is at 101 Arnold Mill Road.
The free, family-friendly event will feature some of the area's best tasting chicken wings from local restaurant and bars. It will also include live music on two stages.
Some of the activities for the kids include bounce houses, rides, face painting as well as local teen bands performing on the gazebo stage.
For the grown ups, cold adult beverage will be available and a large arts and crafts area will be part of the festivities.
Area wing vendors will compete in several competitions throughout the weekend to determine who has the best tasting buffalo sauce, non buffalo sauce and the People's Choice Award.
That award is where the attendees get to vote for their favorite wing at the festival. Chicken wings and other food items will be available for purchase at each participating food vendors.
As usual, a free contest will be held on both days to see who can eat the most wings in two minutes. If you are one of the first 12 people to sign up before 3 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday at the Rock 100 booth, you can go up against last year's champion.
The top three finishers will be awarded a trophy or medal, festival t-shirt, gift certificates and bragging rights for the rest of the year.
