Construction Worker Critically Injured on I-90 Reconstruction Project
The accident happened at 9:30 a.m. on Monday when a component from a crane fell on the employee.

A construction worker who became pinned underneath a component from a crane, which weighed thousands of pounds, was critically injured Monday as he worked on a barge on the Fox River, the Daily Herald reports.
The 51-year-old man was flown to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge following the accident, which occurred at about 9:30 a.m. Monday underneath I-90 at Duncan avenue, according to the newspaper.
The man was working on the a reconstruction project on the I-90 bridge over the Fox River, NBC Chicago reports.
