The Dominick's food stores in Lake in the Hills, Crystal Lake and Fox River Grove are not included among the 11 stores Mariano's Fresh Market plans to buy.
Mariano's, owned by Roundy's, will purchase 11 Dominick's grocery stores, Crain's Chicago Business is reporting. The stores are expected to be converted into Mariano's stores within one to two months after they are acquired.
The news comes as Dominick's prepares to close all 72 of its Chicago market stores including the grocery stores at 5340 Route 14 in Crystal Lake; 101 N. Randall Road in Lake in the Hills; and 800 S. Route 14, Fox River Grove.
The stores are expected to close Dec. 28.
Stores included in the purchase include the Dominick's locations in Gurnee, Northfield, Park Ridge, Aurora, Shorewood, Western Springs, Westchester, Buffalo Grove and Chicago, according to Crains.
