Fire crews battle blaze for 45 minutes on I-294 near Alsip.
ALSIP, IL -- A box truck carrying flammable materials burst into flames near Alsip on I-294. The fire temporarily shut down southbound lanes on the expressway Thursday evening.
Witnesses reported multiple explosions with the truck becoming fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews battled back the blaze for 45 minutes. No injuries were reported.
