Four Injured in Park Ridge Crash After SUV Runs Red Light: Police
Police believe a SUV may have been racing when the crash occurred in Park Ridge Wednesday night.

Police are investigating whether the driver of an SUV was racing before he ran a red light and collided with a car in Park Ridge Wednesday night, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The crash injured the driver and three passengers in the 2014 Audi. A 24-year-old woman was taken to Resurrection Medical Center where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries while the driver, a 20-year-old man, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital with serious injuries, according to the newspaper.
Two other passengers, an 18-year-old woman and 20-year-old man, were thrown from the car and were listed in serious condition at Lutheran General, according to article.

The crash occurred around 11 p.m. when the SUV collided with the car at Devon Avenue and Cumberland Avenue after driving through a red light, according to ABC 7 Chicago. The car hit a tree and a light pole before coming to rest on Devon Avenue.
WGN TV reports witnesses said a third car may have been involved but sped away following the crash.

“We were down in the basement. We heard a bigger accident than we normally hear out here. We came out, there was a young lady laying out here on the road. There was another gentleman on the other side of the tree here who was also down, but he wasn’t moving much, but he was moving,” one witness told ABC 7 Chicago.
The crash closed down Devon Avenue for several hours overnight. Devon between Talcott and Cumberland was closed as of 5 a.m. but was expected to be back open by 6:30 a.m., according to a Park Ridge Police Department Nixle alert.
