Medical Emergency Caused Crash That Killed Aurora Man: Cops

A 75-year-old Aurora man died in the crash.

AURORA, IL -- A 75-year-old Aurora man suffered a medical emergency before a crash Thursday afternoon in Aurora Township, police said. Lloyd Manning was pronounced dead at a local hospital after his Toyota Camry left the roadway on eastbound Molitor Road and struck a Chevrolet Impala parked inside an open garage at around 4 p.m. Police said Manning's car only hit the parked vehicle, not the building.

Manning, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, may have suffered an unknown medical emergency prior to the crash, according to police.

The crash is under investigation by the Kane County Sheriff's Office and investigators from the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
