Heroin: An Update for Barrington Area Parents

Heroin use and trafficking has
been in the news recently. Barrington LEADS is hosting a parent coffee and
discussion about heroin with Special Agent Sean Lewakowski and Group Supervisor Michael Goers from the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group as well as
John McGowan, Barrington High School Resource Officer who will give us a local
perspective.

We will learn about what heroin is, what it looks like, common
street names, how it is packaged, where it can be bought, how much it costs,
and the physical effects of its use.  We
will address what to watch for in teens now, to help prevent problems in their
future. Please join Barrington LEADS in this opportunity to talk to local experts about heroin use.
