Waterline Writers Reading Event

Waterline Writers presents a fantastic lineup of writers on Sunday, June 16th, at 7 pm. At this month’s Waterline Writers, a son learns the exact dimensions of his character while holding his father’s ladder in Donald J. Bingle’s “The Tree of Enlightenment”. Kevin Burris’s lines animate everything from love on the silver screen, to fates glimpsed in an old war photo, to the light that preserves certain memories. In an excerpt from her new novel Without a Sound, Susan DeLay’s Jewish jeweler must make a precise move in his dangerous game with the Third Reich. Spoken word poet Russ Devereaux brings a diner’s denizens to life, then revives your brightest dreams along with his own. Katie Phillips shares poetry and perceptions that always tug the imagination down unexpected paths. And memoirist Laura Young…well, if you haven’t met her father yet, you are missing out—who knew that a man’s circle of friends could keep growing, many years after his death?Join us in the gallery at Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water St., Batavia, IL. For more information about our events visit www.waterlinewriters.org.
