Conceal-Carry Permit Holder Kills Robber During South Side Store Robbery: Reports
Customer with conceal-carry permit was shopping in store when he shot robber, Chicago Tribune reports.

A customer reportedly shot and killed a man during an attempted robbery corner store Saturday evening in the city’s Gage Park neighborhood.
Police sources at the scene told the Chicago Tribune that a man walked into a business in the 2600 block of West 51st Street around 7 p.m. The man allegedly announced a robbery to an employee behind the counter while displaying a gun.
After another employee was ordered to the back of the business, a customer in the store pulled out a gun and shot the alleged robbery. The customer had a valid FOID and conceal-carry permit, the Tribune reported.

Officer Hector Alfaro, of Police News Affairs, said that officers responded to the business for a report of an adult male with gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and is believed to be the offender.
The robbery remains under investigation by Central Area detectives, Alfaro said.
