Bolingbrook Finalists Advance to Final Four Wii Bowling Championship
Bolingbrook competitors will be among players at the fifth annual Illinois Supportive Living Wii Bowling Championship, sponsored by the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition.

Four teams from Supportive Living communities throughout Illinois are moving forward to compete in the championship playoffs on May 13 and 14 in Decatur, Illinois.

This year's competition sets a new record, with 83 teams competing virtually throughout the state to make it to the finals.

Wii from Bolingbrook, Charleston, Springfield and Alton will be vying for the championship title.

“This is the fifth year in a row that we’ve held the Wii Bowling contest.  Our seniors and persons with disabilities absolutely love participating in this annual event as part of Supportive Living Week activities,” said Wayne Smallwood, Executive Director of the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition.  “It’s a fun yet highly competitive event that gets bigger every year.”

In tournament style, each team bowled against one another “virtually,” two games per week for seven weeks, racking up as many total pins as possible in hopes of joining the ranks of the Final Four.

The following teams made the Final Four and are headed to Decatur where they are hoping to “strike out” for a high score to bring home the gold:

  • Bowling Brooks- Heritage Woods of Bolingbrook
  • Heritage Woods Champs - Heritage Woods of Charleston
  • Timberlake Crew - Timberlake Supportive Living, Springfield
  • Glenhaven Gardeners - Glenhaven Gardens of Alton
