Bolingbrook Man Charged with Public Indecency
A Bolingbrook man was arrested on a charge of public indecency after police responded to a report of two men urinating in public on April 19.

Lt. Mike Rompa said police arrived to find two adult men in an area between a shopping center and the subdivision in the 100 block of Fairwood at around 5:15 p.m.

Both men were drunk and had open alcohol, according to Rompa, and one man — later identified as Andres Paredes, 51, of the 700 block of Springbrook Lane — had his genitals exposed.

Rompa said Paredes swore at the officers and gave them a fake name. Police said Paredes also refused to cooperate while being processed after being taken into custody.

He was arrested on a charge of public indecency and a local criminal offense, and was issued trespassing warnings before being released, police said.

The second man, 54-year-old Jose Martinez of Bolingbrook, was issued a citation for public consumption of alcohol but was not taken into custody, according to police.
