Bolingbrook High School’s Key Club and Student Government have launched a drive to collect items for the “Families in Transition Support Day” Saturday, April 5 which is sponsored by the Will County Regional Office of Education and Will County Center for Community Concerns.
Bins for deodorant, shampoo, disposable razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste, dental floss, mouth wash, soap of all types, shaving cream, tissues,
feminine hygiene products, hydrogen peroxide, cotton balls, hand sanitizer, and Q-tips are located outside of the BHS library and at the BHS bookstore.
Donations will be given to families with school-aged children who have lost housing due to economic hardship. Many families are staying in a shelter or living “doubled-up” with families or friends.
The BHS drive will run through March 25.
“Families in Transition Support Day” will run from 9 a.m. noon April 5 at the Sator Sanchez School, 1101 Harrison Ave. in Joliet.
