Copper Wire Heist Suspect Arrested in Bolingbrook
He's accused of stealing two trucks worth of copper wire worth $320,000.

A Lithuanian man accused of being part of an interstate copper wire heist was arrested Wednesday in Bolingbrook on an Indiana warrant.
Arturas Pivoris, 32, was arrested by Bolingbrook police at his home at 4 Swan Court Wednesday afternoon.
Bolingbrook police said they responded to the home "at the request of the Marshal County Sheriffs Office in Indiana" and took him into custody on a warrant for violation of a court order. Pivoris was taken to the Will County jail on a temporary hold.

In 2015, Indiana authorities charged Pivoris with stealing two truckloads of copper wire worth $320,000, according to ABC 57 in Indiana. Pivoris allegedly used a fake ID to pose as a truck driver and pick up loads of copper wire on Jan. 8 and Jan. 9, 2015. He was reportedly found out when the trucks never reached their intended destination in North Carolina.
Pivoris was accused of being part of a theft ring responsible for stealing millions of dollars in cargo, ABC reported. He was charged with two counts of felony theft over $50,000.

After an investigation involving the Indiana State Police, Illinois State Police and New York State Police, Pivoris was arrested in Chicago after showing up for a scheduled appointment at the Office of Immigration and Naturalization Services and extradited to the Marshall County Jail, WNDU reported.
He posted bond and was released in June 2015, according to Indiana court records.
Pivoris was not present at a Jan. 4 hearing to set a trial date, according to Marshall County records. On Feb. 20, a warrant for his arrest for violating the terms of his release.
On Thursday, Marshall County reinstated the terms of Pivoris' bond and requested he be released from the Will County jail, according to court records. As of early Thursday afternoon, he remained in custody, according to jail records.
