Coroner IDs Man Killed In Fiery One-Vehicle Crash

The 27-year-old man crashed his SUV into a tree off of Quentin Road early Monday morning.

KILDEER, IL – A 27-year-old killed in a fiery one-vehicle crash in Kildeer Monday morning has been identified as Marwan Hmadi of Des Plaines, Lake County Coroner Howard Cooper said in a Tuesday morning news release. Preliminary results from an autopsy show he died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the crash, which occurred on Quentin Road at Hidden Valley Road Monday morning. Toxicology results are pending, according to the news release.

The collision occurred at about 6:30 a.m. when Hmadi, who was driving a Nissan Murano north on Quentin, veered off the road and crashed into a tree, according to the Lake Zurich Courier.

A man apparently broke out the window of the Nissan and pulled Hmadi from the vehicle shortly before the vehicle started on fire, authorities told the Daily Herald. Police officers first at the scene attempted to resuscitate the man before firefighters arrived at the scene.
