Buffalo Grove 15-Year Old Driver Caused Car Crash in Park Ridge: Cops

Police said most of the teenagers joined the driver in fleeing from the 2 a.m. accident scene just off Western Avenue.

PARK RIDGE, IL - A 15-year-old boy driving a car owned by the parents of his friend caused a car crash with injuries last week in Park Ridge, police have said.

The unlicensed 15-year-old was driving a 2013 Toyota Camry on Western Avenue before 2 a.m. on Sept. 5 when he ignored a stop sign and collided with another moving car on Talcott Road, according to a Park Ridge Herald-Advocate report.

The boy, who is from Buffalo Grove, fled the accident scene on foot and was found later in a yard on Talcott. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving a car with expired registration and violating curfew.

There were five passengers in the car driven by the teen, four of which also fled the scene.
