Police Blotter: Running Car Stolen from Parking Lot

Police Blotter: Running Car Stolen from Parking Lot

ALCOHOL

Officers located an intoxicated person walking on the sidewalk at 3:08 p.m. Jan. 22 at Deerfield and Buffalo Grove roads. The person was given a ride home and then to the fire department for a check-up. 

COMPLAINTS

Officers responded to a report of solicitors at 6 p.m. Jan. 22 on the 1200 block of Barclay Boulevard. Both solicitors were located and they stated they worked for AT&T and were offering upgraded service for current customers. They were found to be without a permit and were explained the ordinance regarding soliciting. Both solicitors then left the area. 

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 10 p.m. Jan. 22 on the 1500 block of East Busch Parkway. Upon arrival, they were advised that a person was playing loud music and when asked to turn it down, he yelled at the complainant. Officers were unable to locate the person who was playing the music. The complainant was told to call the police if the noise continued. 

DISTURBANCE

A complainant reported Jan. 22 that the driver of a vehicle speeds by him each day on the 1400 block of Mill Creek Drive and he yells at the driver. The driver of the vehicle told police he was unsure why he was being yelled at. Both people were advised to contact the police and not confront each other. 

THEFT

A complainant reported that he went outside to start his car and let it warm up at 6 p.m. Jan. 22 on the 1600 block of North Barclay Boulevard. He then returned to the building and a few minutes later, a co-worker observed his vehicle speeding out of the parking lot.
