Blackhawks Coffee Cups Irk Blues Fans in St. Louis
Dunkin' Donuts blames a shipping error for a St. Louis-area franchise selling cups with the rival logo.

If St. Louis sports fans weren’t frustrated enough about losing to Chicago in both hockey and baseball playoff series over the last two years and then losing their football team to Los Angeles, Dunkin’ Donuts really rubbed it in even more this week.
The nation donut and coffee chain said a shipping error caused them to send coffee cups with the Chicago Blackhawks logo on them to a franchise in Kirkwood, Mo. just outside St. Louis. The Blackhawks are in the midst of a first round playoff series with the St. Louis Blues, presumably the hockey team they support in Kirkwood.
The cups are common in the Chicago area since Dunkin’ Donuts is a partner with the Blackhawks.

NBC-Chicago reported the cups were removed from the Kirkwood store Wednesday, but not before ticking off more than a few Blues fans, who hope the city can finally defeat Chicago in a playoff series.
Instead, the Kirkwood franchise will give away free blue-froasted doughnuts for every Blues win.
