Armed Robber Holds Up Cary Gas Station: Police
Cary police are searching for a suspect accused of holding up a gas station in Cary early Saturday.

CARY, IL -- Cary police are asking for the public’s help as they try to track down an armed robber accused of holding up a gas station in Cary over the weekend.
Authorities said the robber entered the BP Amoco Gas Station, 400 Silver Lake Road in Cary, at about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to a news release. The man, who was armed with a handgun, demanded money and subsequently fled with cash in an unknown direction.
The Hispanic male, who is between the ages of 18 and 20 years old, was wearing a black coat, a white scarf and sunglasses. He fled the store in an unknown direction, according to police.

A K9 unit from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The K9 unit was able to track the suspect’s scent but that scent was eventually lost.
The case remains under investigation.
