Crystal Lake South finished in seventh place at Saturday's competition while Crystal Lake Central finished in eighth place.
There were 90 total teams that competed in the prelims at the state meet in the Class 1A, 2A and 3A divisions from across Illinois on Friday. The top ten teams in each division, including Crystal Lake South and Central, advanced to the final round on Saturday, according to the IHSA website.
Geneva High School finished in first place at the state finals while Vernon Hills finished in second place and Fenton finished in third.

Crystal Lake Central and Crystal Lake South dance teams have advanced to the state finals after both finishing in the top ten at the Class 2A prelims Friday, according to the Illinois High School Association website.
Crystal Lake Central finished in seventh place and Crystal Lake South finished in 9th place in the prelims. Both teams will compete in the finals on Saturday.
