How to Help: Fundraisers for Lt. Gliniewciz Family, Fox Lake Police Department
Here are some ways you can donate to help the Gliniewicz family and the Fox Lake Police Department.

Several Patch readers have been asking how they can help the family of slain Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz.
Gliniewicz left behind a wife and four sons when he was fatally shot while on a routine patrol call this week.

Listed below are some ways you donate and help show your support as the family, and community, grieves the death of the veteran Fox Lake Police Department lieutenant.
- Donations can be made to the L.T. Joe Gliniewicz Memorial Fund at any BMO Harris Bank branch. Donations can also be sent to the Lake Zurich Police Department, c/o Miss Gaffney, 200 N. Mohwak Trail, Lake Zurich, 60047. Gaffney is authorized by the Gliniewicz family to receive donations.
- The McHenry Outdoor Theater will host a special showing of Superman on Wednesday with all proceeds going to benefit the Gliniewicz family. You can get more information on the showing in today’s Patch article.
- The Lemonade Brigade will have a lemonade stand set up in front of the McHenry Outdoor Theater, 1510 Chapel Hills Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 13. All funds will go to the Gliniewicz family. Those who can not make it out to the fund-raiser can donate online here.
- Former Fox Lake Mayor William Dam and trustee Scott Shalek set up a fund to help support village police as the search for continues for Gliniewicz’s killers, the Daily Herald reports. Donations can be made to the Citizens Offering Police Support for Fox Lake account at the State Bank of the Lakes in Spring Grove and donations can also be dropped off at State Farm Insurance, 42 E. Grand Ave., No. 103, Fox lake, according to the newspaper.
