Semi-Truck Overturns In McHenry County, Blocks Traffic
Drivers are advised to avoid Route 120 while emergency crews continue their response.
WOODSTOCK, IL – A semi-truck overturned on Route 120 in unincorporated Woodstock Saturday morning, causing lane closures in both directions.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to reports of a crash with possible entrapment at 10:10 a.m. near the 10100 block of Route 120, according to a news release from the fire/rescue district. Crews found the truck lying on its side between Fleming Road and Thompson Road, with a load of milled asphalt spilled across the roadway, according to a news release.
The male driver was already out of the vehicle when emergency personnel arrived and was not trapped. He was evaluated by paramedics on scene but refused further medical treatment, according to authorities.

Fluids leaking from the truck were quickly contained and posed no environmental hazard. The roadway is expected to remain closed for an extended period while cleanup continues.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
