Woman, 33, Found Dead Following McHenry County Crash

A 33-year-old woman was found dead in a vehicle following a single-vehicle crash in Spring Grove Sunday morning.

Tanya M. McDonough of unincorporated Spring Grove was found by a passerby around 6 a.m. after a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 12 east of Sunset Road in Spring Grove earlier that morning, according to a McHenry County Coroner’s Office press release. Spring Grove paramedics responded and pronounced McDonough dead at the scene.

The male driver in the crash was at the scene of the crash and was taken to the hospital, according to the news release.

An autopsy will be performed Monday to determine McDonough’s cause of death.

The crash remains under investigation.
