Warriors Entertain Waukegan Friday

football team will try to even its season record at 2-2 when it entertains Waukegan at 7:30 p.m. today at Adams Field in a Central Suburban League Crossover game.

Both teams take a 1-2 record into the contest. against the Bulldogs.

Deerfield started the year with only two returning starters in its offensive unit and . The Hawks are the state’s second ranked team with three Class 8A state titles under their belts in the last four years. The Warriors compete in the smaller 6A Division.

“If we continue what we did last week we could be something special,” Winiecki said. “We are running the offense together as a unit.” Fullback Alec Frank, quarterback Matt Kollada, running back Alex Williams and Jake Balder all made key gains.

Balder, who is part of special offensive formations, plays most of his time on defense, . Balder was an all league selection a year ago.
