Take a peek at why YOU should come on out to the 1st Annual First Responders Challenge/Family Fun Day -Downers Grove on Saturday, Sept. 13

Top 10 Reasons to Attend 1st Responders Challenge/Family Fun Day

There are a number of reasons (officially 11) to mark your calendar now so you can attend the 1st ever, First Responders Challenge/Family Fun Day 2014 to be held in Fishel Park, near downtown Downers Grove. The event date is Saturday, September 13 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Here we go:

1) You can cheer on area police and fire departments as they compete through an exciting obstacle course challenge on the Fishel Park grounds.

2) You can visit more than a dozen business showcase tables where there will be demonstrations, giveaways, special offers and much more. See them all here.

3) WIN A TRIP FOR 4 TO CANCUN-simply by attending, provided by Travalati.

4) WIN ONE OF TWO IPAD MINI’S simply by attending, provided by Platinum Sponsor, Country Financial.

5) The first 300 children who arrive get a wood-building set from Home Depot-Downers Grove.

6) You could get your face painted, or if that’s too messy, a caricature artist will be on hand as well!

7) Live music will be performed by up and coming Chicagoland rock band, The Belvederes.

8) Food will be provided by Skuddlebutts, a catering company around since 1939. MMMMM!

9) There will be inflatables for the kids to bounce around on!

10) If you can’t make the event during the day, you can join us at the After Party, sponsored by Emmett’s Brewing Co., Downers Grove (it’s a hop, skip and a jump from Fishel Park).

MOST IMPORTANTLY-you will be showing your support for the event  charity beneficiaries....The 100 Club of DuPage Country and 100 Club of Chicago/Cook County. These organizations support the families of first responders killed in the line of duty.

Join us! For more information, visit the event website at www.1stresponderschallenge.com.
