Adoptable Pet of the Week: Paige!

Paige bumps into things once in awhile because she is blind in one eye, but she gets around quite well. Can you give her a forever home?

Adoptable Pet of the Week: Paige!
Information provided by Elmhurst Animal Care Center.

Paige is a beautiful red and white husky with blue eyes. She is about 5 years old and very friendly, playful and curious.

Paige was found as a stray while Forever Husky was training its sled dog team. She immediately was happy to see someone who cared about her well being! She jumped into their truck and went along for the ride. Forever Husky volunteers soon realized she was blind in one eye, but it didn't seem to affect her much. She sometimes bumps into things, but navigates very well.

Paige is a very vocal husky and would love nothing more than to be in a home where she could get loads of love and attention.

This little lady is currently in the process of getting all of her vaccines, microchip, heartworm testing and spay. She was "in season" when she was found, but should be ready for adoption soon.

Paige would do best in a home with a fenced yard or where someone would walk her daily. She is active and loves to check out the world. She would be ok with respectful, dog savvy children as well. She would not do well in a home with cats or small animals to chase. Paige is playful and would likely do well with another non-aggressive dog if introduced properly.

For more information on Paige, contact Forever Husky, located in Crystal Lake. Phone number is (815) 893-9755  or click here.
