Elmhurst Cops Help Arrest 12 Immigration Reform Protesters in Broadview
The Elmhurst police said they went to Broadview to help arrest immigration reform protesters.
Elmhurst officers on the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System "arrested 12 subjects who blocked the public roadway and refused to move," police said.
The arrested protesters were blocking the intersection of 25th Avenue and Roosevelt Road.
The website Progress Illinois said the police actually arrested 11 people. The "activists sat on the street, linked arms and were later arrested by police clad in riot gear," the site said.
