Pedestrian Injured Tuesday Morning in Elmhurst Hit-and-Run

A 26-year-old man was hit by a semi-tractor trailer around 3:30 a.m. March 24, and police are asking to public to help find the driver.

The hit-and-run happened in the 700 block of North York Road in the northbound lanes of York Road, near Fullerton Avenue, according to Elmhurst police.

Elmhurst paramedics brought the injured pedestrian to Edward-Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.

Police looking for the driver of the light-color Peterbilt tractor towing a light-color semi-trailer. The truck left the scene northbound on York Road from Fullerton.

The driver may not have known a pedestrian was hit, police say.

The Elmhurst Police Department, assisted by the DuPage County Accident Reconstruction Team, is continuing the investigation.
