3 Charged in Multiple Car Burglaries

Three Evanston men have been charged with breaking into several cars overnight on May 1 and 2 in northwest Evanston, taking items ranging from electronics to golf clubs, according to the Evanston Police Department.

One of the burglaries was caught on surveillance footage from a home that had a camera facing the street. This helped police find the suspects, police said. Patrol officers on the midnight shift arrested two of the men and the third was arrested later.

Police recovered many items related to the car burglaries that have not been identified yet by their owners. You can click on this linkto learn more about how to recover your property if you think you had some stolen.
