Evanston Man Dead in Head On Collision
Tuesday morning crash in Antioch Township leaves Anthony M. Guth dead at the scene.

An Evanston man is dead following a head on collision in unincorporated Antioch Township Tuesday morning.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Anthony M. Guth, 67, of the 1800 block of Sherman Ave. in Evanston was pronounced dead at the scene on Rt. 173 west of Linden Lane around 9 a.m.
A preliminary investigation shows Guth was headed eastbound in a 2009 Infiniti X35 when he crossed the center line and entered into a westbound lane, striking a 2007 Toyota Tundra driven by Caleb J. Capodarco, 23, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisc.

Capodarco and his passenger, a 22-year-old Kenosha, Wisc. man, were transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
