"Have Dreams" Seeking Help From Evanston Community

Evanston organization that provides support services for autistic young people needs assistance this weekend to help clean up their facility after a damaging incident in August.

"Have Dreams" Seeking Help From Evanston Community

Have Dreams is an organization that provides a variety of support services for autistic children and youth in and around Evanston, and they are seeking help from the community this weekend.

After a pipe burst in August at their location, the organization has been working hard to become operational again. In partnership with Volunteer Evanston, Northwestern University and Evanston Township High School, they are calling for an All-Hands-On-Deck Weekend of Service.

Volunteers are being sought to help clean and reorganize furniture, in addition to catolging tools, games and educational materials for the children who are served.

The organization's goal is to as quickly as possible get their facility functioning so they don't disrupt the routines of their clients any more than they already have been.

Shifts for volunteers are available on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from noon until 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. You can sign up to volunteer by clicking on this link

Have Dreams is located at 2020 Dempster St. Evanston, IL 60202.
