Missing Teen Girl Found in South Suburbs

Police say 17-year-old Alishianna A. Harris went missing from her Evanston home a week ago.

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston police are looking for a missing 17-year-old girl who has not been seen in nearly a week.

Alishianna A. Harris was last seen leaving her residence in the 1600 block of Thelin Court in the afternoon hours on Oct. 4. She is developmentally and intellectually delayed and has the functions of a six or seven-year-old, according to police.

She is a 17-year-old black girl, 5'5", 210 lbs. with black hair and honey highlights, a medium complexion with a half-inch scar above her left eye. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie with fur, beige T-shirt and beige camouflage pants.

Harris does not have any money, credit cards or a cellular phone in her possession and knows how to utilize public transportation, especially the Chicago Transit Authority "L" train.

Anyone with information as to the juvenile's whereabouts is asked to contact the Evanston Police Department at (847)866-5000 and ask for the juvenile detective bureau or utilize Text-A-Tip at CRIMES (274637) and entering EPDTIP in the message line with the tip information.
