Two Carnation Spa Employees Charged in Prostitution Sting

Two employees of Carnation Spa, 1239 Chicago Ave., have been arrested and charged with prostitution following an Evanston Police Department undercover operation.

The police department said they received anonymous citizen complaints about the spa "regarding illegal sexual conduct," which lead to an investigation of the business.

EPD detectives went undercover posing as customers at the spa, the police department said, "and through this investigation determined that illegal sexual conduct was being offered and performed."

"This conduct involved inappropriate physical contact with customers," the department said.

Employees Angel Zijun Ho and Jian Ping Yao were both charged with one misdemeanor count of prostitution. A court date for both employees has been set for April 28.
