Veolia Neighbors Protest Station Expansion

The protest was held Saturday morning.

A group of residents organized Saturday to protest plans by Veolia to expand the entrance to their waste transfer facility at 1711 Church Street and install a tarping station.

Neighbors have long complained about the station, saying it causes unpleasant odors in the summer months, causes pollution due to trucks that leave their engines on, and wakes them up when trucks commence work before the allowed time.
