Recent EP Grads Return to Teach ACT Prep Course

Graduates of Evergreen Park Community High School's class of 2011 will be teaching an ACT preparation course this summer, with a free practice test on June 23 and workshop on June 30.

Recent EP Grads Return to Teach ACT Prep Course

Summer typically means school's out, but it doesn't mean you can't get a head start on the next school year's educational goals.

Two graduates have returned to town after their first year at Northwestern University to teach an ACT prep class.

Farzaan Kassam and his peer Rich Daker will be coaching your kids to academic success in a course directed through Ivy Insiders, a branch of Revolution Prep, an academic tutoring and test preparatory company. 

"We have been working very hard to spread the word of our class to all students in Evergreen Park and surrounding suburbs," Kassam told Patch.

The Summer ACT Prep Course will take place after July 4 and includes 18 hours of workshop, five ACT practice tests and unlimited online ACT prep.

Both 19-year-olds appreciate the educational training they received at their alma mater and hope to pass it along. "Rich and I are both very appreciative of Evergreen Park Community High School for everything they did for us. We know how much time and effort they put into their students," said Kassam. "All in all, we just want to do what we can to give back to our town."

Individual tutoring and small group tutoring will be available. Prices vary, however, scholarships are available through the online application process. Log onto the Revolution Prep website for more information.

Revolution Prep is hosting a on Saturday, June 23 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and a on June 30 from 2 to 4 p.m., both at the , 9400 S. Troy Ave.

Kassam plans to attend medical school to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor, while Daker plans to attend graduate school and become a professor.
