New Lenox Man Charged With Vicious Attack on Girlfriend Now Popped With Stalking Case
A New Lenox man charged with brutally attacking his girlfriend now has been arrested for allegedly stalking her.
Justin Ruch, 33, of 124 Gall Lane was arrested and jailed again Thursday, this time on charges of stalking and criminal damage to property.
Gall was first taken into custody Jan. 10 on charges of home invasion, unlawful restraint, aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. He was arrested for allegedly breaking into the home of his girlfriend, 33-year-old Carrie Gibson, then dragging her by the hair, choking her and performing a sex act on her against her will.
The stalking and criminal damage charges stem from an incident two days before the alleged attack on Gibson. The criminal complaint against Ruch said he followed her from Black Road in Joliet to her house.
In a petition for a protective order against Ruch, Gibson wrote she was "just getting home from a date" that night when Ruch pulled up in his car and pursued her on foot.
"He started to chase me," Gibson wrote in her petition. " I went inside and locked the door. He started beating my house with a snow shovel and throwing empty beer cans at my house. He said let me in you stupid bitch. I want to talk. I told him the neighbors were watching. He left in his car. He was intoxicated."
Ruch was charged with domestic battery three other times in cases involving Gibson. He pleaded guilty in one instance, was found guilty after a trial another time and once had the charge dropped when the "complaining witness" failed to come to court, records show.
