2 Traffic Stops Lead to Geneva Cannabis Arrests

A pair of traffic stops in the wee hours of the morning resulted in arrests for cannabis possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to reports collected this week at the Geneva Police Department.

Possession of Cannabis, Drug Equipment—Geneva police arrested Jennifer Kraus, 18, on charges of possession of drug equipment and possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams at around 1:48 a.m. Feb. 18 in the 500 block of Maple Lane, reports said. Kraus also was given a warning notice for an unlit rear registration lamp.

Possession of Cannabis, Drug Equipment—Geneva police arrested James Haas, 20, of Geneva on charges of possession of drug equipment, possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after a traffic stop around 12:37 a.m. Feb. 16 in the 2500 block of Fargo Boulevard, reports said. Haas has a court date of March 5 at the Kane County Branch Court.
