Burglary Reports: More Than $1,400 in Tools Taken From Econoline

Two cars and one garage were looted, according to police reports collected this week at the Geneva Police Department.

Vehicle Burglary—Someone smashed the driver’s-side window of a vehicle parked in the 2200 block of Rockefeller Drive and took cell phone from the front console sometime between 1:15 and 9:15 a.m. Sept. 23, Geneva police reports said. The owner estimated the cost of replacing the window at $250 and the value of the cell phone at $50, reports said.

Vehicle Burglary—Someone took more that $1,400 worth of tools from a Ford E20 Econoline parked in the 1500 block of Commons Drive sometime between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 29, Geneva police reports said. The list of stolen tools include a hammer drill, two finish nail sets, a brad nail set, a miter saw a cordless impact screw gun set. The estimated loss totals $1,420.

Burglary—Someone took a Schwinn mountain bicycle from the garage of a home in the 600 block of Nicole Lane sometime between 9 p.m. Sept. 27 and 9 a.m. Sept. 29, reports said. The homeowner said there was no sign of forced entry so the garage overhead door must have been left open at the time of the burglary. The bicycle was valued at $200.
