Kane County officials expect tax bills will be mailed out by Thursday.

Coming to a Mailbox Near You: Your Property Tax Bill

The first installment of taxpayers' 2011 property tax bills, payable in 2012, will be due June 4. The bills are expected to be mailed this week.

The public may view tax information and print duplicate copies of tax bills at kanecountytreasurer.org.

Also available on the website is a list of all unclaimed funds held by the treasurer.

Taxpayers can make a payment by:

  • Mailing the payment with coupon to the treasurer’s office, in the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Geneva, IL 60134, in the provided envelope.
  • Making the payment with coupon at any of the designated banks in Kane County.
  • Making the payment with coupon during business hours at the treasurer’s office (open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).
  • Dropping the payment with coupon in the property tax drop box, which is available 24 hours a day. The drop box is behind Building A at the Kane County Government Center.
  • Paying by credit card or e-check over the Internet. There are convenience fees for these services.

The second installment of the tax bills will be due Sept. 4.
