Geneva High School Selected as 2016 Top Global Learning School
The distinction is held by only 12 schools in Illinois and 76 in the nation.

Each year, AFS-USA honors select schools for their commitment to international education with the Top Global Learning Schools award.
Geneva High School was among the first recipients of this designation in 2014 and remains a Top Global Learning School in 2016. This designation makes Geneva students eligible to apply for study abroad scholarships from AFS-USA.

From hosting international students, to encouraging American students to study abroad, to incorporating intercultural learning initiatives into their curriculum, these institutions have demonstrated a strong commitment to developing the global competency of their students, according to AFS-USA.
Geneva High School is an extremely strong supporter of AFS. In addition to sending students abroad, it hosts at least four AFS students each year. In total, GHS has hosted 31 students over the past seven years.
Additionally, Geneva High School works to further enrich its student body by hosting International Education Week each year, inviting AFS students throughout the local community to give cultural presentations in its classrooms.
