Sample Ballot for March 20 Primary—GOP, Geneva's Near West Side

Here's the sample ballot for Geneva's Near West Side.

Sample Ballot for March 20 Primary—GOP, Geneva's Near West Side

Editor's note: This is one of a six-part series of sample ballots for Geneva. The series is published at or around 5 p.m. from Tuesday, March 6, though Sunday, March 11. See the Geneva Patch  story for an overview and publication schedule.

It's getting close to the March 20 primary. You're wondering who the heck you're going to vote for.

Well, if you live on the near West Side of Geneva and you're voting in the Republican primary, your sample ballot will look something like what you see below.

You can view for yourself by visiting the  Kane County Clerk's website, clicking on "More" under the "Elections" header on the left, then "Sample Ballot." You'll need to type in your last name, street number and street name. (Only the first word of the street name is necessary. For example: "Third" rather than "North Third Street.")

Here's a  link to the PDF for the Republican primary ballot for Geneva's near West Side. But for your convenience, I've re-typed it below. Let me know if you see any errors or omissions.

Editor's notes:

I included the noncontested races, just so that you wouldn't be surprised when you go to vote.

There are basically three sample ballots in Geneva, due to geography. For example, most Genevans are in the Kane County Board 11th District. Because of some unusual boundaries, some Genevans will vote for the 25th District state senator and others for the 33rd District state senator.

And, of course, you can choose a primary ballot for the Republican Party, the Democratic Party or a nonpartisan ballot.
