Vero Voce Theater presents The Fantasticks

(ST CHARLES) Vero Voce Theater in St Charles proudly presents The Fantasticks as its summer Main Stage production, with direction by Dennis Brown and music direction by Dawn Harkins, both St Charles residents and owners of Vero Voce. Performances are June 14-29, 2014, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3pm.

Based on “Les Romanesques” by Edmond Rostand, this is a time-proven audience-pleaser! "Try To Remember" a time when this romantic charmer wasn't enchanting audiences around the world. The Fantasticks is the longest-running musical in the world. At the heart of its breathtaking poetry and subtle theatrical sophistication is a purity and simplicity that transcends cultural barriers. The result is a timeless fable of love that manages to be nostalgic and universal at the same time.

The cast includes, Lauren Nicole (St Charles), Tony Calzaretta (Chicago), Sarah Heylmun (Batavia), Alex Adams (St Charles), Scott Bussert (So Elgin), Chris Bruzzini (Melrose Park), John Kraft (Indian Head Park), Paul Cepynski (Lisle). The orchestra will include pianist, Melody FisherLewek (Batavia), harpist Theodora Barclay (Barrington) and percussionist, Daniel Eastwood (St Charles).

Vero Voce was established in 2001 specializing in private voice, piano lessons and musical theatre coaching. It expanded into a 7,000 square foot facility with multiple studios, classrooms, and a theatre at 951 State Avenue, Suite F, in St Charles. Vero Voce is known for its unique theater teaching style, with elements of improvisation, actor input, characterization, scene study, tech awareness and confidence building.
