Bensenville police are seeking information that will lead to the killer.

UPDATED 1 a.m. Jan. 20: The man shot during an armed robbery in Bensenville at around 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, was the store clerk at Sam's Tobacco and Food. He was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the Daily Herald is reporting.

A nearby resident who heard gunshots went to the store and captured the attached photos and video just minutes after the shooting. Aldo Blanco said he heard three shots. When he arrived, he said he saw the victim on the ground in front of the tobacco store.

"As I arrived, Bensenville PD was arriving, too," he said.

The shooter is at large. Bensenville police are asking anyone with information to call (630) 350-3455.

A dispatch report received at 6:57 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, stated police were on the scene of an armed robbery at Sam's Tobacco and Food, 235 W. Irving Park Road in Bensenville. 

The report also states that one person was shot. 

ABC News is reporting the Bensenville Fire Department has confirmed the shooting, and the person who was shot was  taken to a hospital.
