Every week we bring you pets looking for homes at area shelters and rescue groups. This week the pets are from  Animal Rescue Foundation – IL (ARF) and the  DuPage County Animal Care and Control

DuPage County Animal Care and Control

Rex

Rex came to the shelter because his owner had allergies. He has been here since August and still can’t find his forever home. Rex is 5 years old and already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is currently being fostered by Lombard Vet Hospital because he became overwhelmed at the shelter. Rex is a very sweet boy that loves to be snuggled and pet.  If you have a lap that would like a cat…Rex may be the feline for you.

Charmaine

Charmaine was surrendered to the shelter because the owner’s roommate had allergies. She is a 1-½ year-old Californian rabbit. She is very sensitive and gets scared with loud noises. She would do best in a quiet home with an experience bunny person. Californians are bigger bunnies and she would appreciate a large cage or pen to be her home. If Charmaine could be the bunny for you just HOP on over to DuPage County Animal Care and Control.

Adoption fees at DuPage County Animal Care and Control are $100 for dogs.  Cat adoption fees are $50. Adoption fees include the fee for the pet, the shots, microchip and registration. Other animals are available at the shelter, including rabbits and guinea pigs.

The DuPage County Animal Care and Control is located at 120 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton. The hours of operation are Monday and Thursday 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Contact them by phone at 630-407-2800 or visit  online

Genevieve

Genevieve about 1-to-2 years old and is one of the smartest cats to come through her foster home.  She is beautiful, loving and fun.  Genevieve has a little tuft of fur at the top of her ears like a lynx cat. When she stands she looks like an Egyptian princess.  She appears royal, but is not a diva.  She loves human company and is fine with other animals.  Genevieve is up-to-date on her vaccinations, has been dewormed and is spayed.  Genevieve is fostered with a dog, cats and kids.

Bidy

Bidy is a sweet 6-lb., 6-year-old toy poodle. He was surrendered by his owners and is very timid. He needs to find a forever home so that he can learn to trust humans again, do you have room in your heart and home for this sweet boy?

Bidy is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered. Her adoption fee is $250. Fill out an application today!  http://arf-il.org/application.html
