4 Unknown Men Attack Milwaukee Ave. Pedestrian

Also featured in this week's blotter: two cab drivers were caught fighting on Depot St. over money.

4 Unknown Men Attack Milwaukee Ave. Pedestrian

The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt.

Battery

On Feb. 18, two cab drivers got into a physical altercation while parked on the 1100 block of Depot St., according to police. The two men were familiar with one another and were apparently disputing over money one owed the other, police say.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

On Feb. 19, someone reported their unlocked car was burglarized while parked on the 1100 block of Hutchings Ave, according to police. Taken were prescription medication and a bottle of cologne, worth about $150.00, police say.

Aggravated Battery

On Feb. 23, someone reported they were walking on the 700 block of Milwaukee Ave. when they were confronted by four men who were driving in a dark colored four door vehicle, according to police. The unknown men exited their car and began calling the complainant names, police say.

The men then started punching and kicking the complainant until they left, and the motive for the attack is unknown, according to police.

Attempted Burglary

On Feb. 24, a resident on the 3100 block of Valcour Dr. reported someone tried to gain access to their home through a rear sliding door and a basement window, police say. Both the door and window had been tampered with, according to police. 

DUI

On Feb. 25, Stephen Gorka, 31, of Glenview, was arrested on the 3200 block of East Lake Ave. and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence – BAC .08 or more and improper lane usage, according to police. He was released on a $1,000.00, police say.
