Has walking downtown Highland Park ever felt like strutting down a catwalk? Your inclination might just be right.

Highland Park is the 10th most fashionable town in the U.S. according to a study by  Bundle, a business and consumer rating website. ( See the full Bundle ratings here.)

The Bundle study, which was first done with major American cities like Chicago and New York, pitted small towns across the country against one another based on the number of households who made "at least four transactions at top-end designer merchants over the past 30 months."

According to the study, 11.84 percent of Highland Park households fell into that "fashion-conscious" category. Newport Coast, Calif., topped the rankings with 16.15 percent.

Bundle's study said 1.5 percent of households nationwide are "fashion-conscious."

Neighboring towns of Glencoe (15.95 percent) and Winnetka (13.74 percent) ranked ahead of Highland Park, while Lake Forest was just behind at 10.7 percent.

North Shore communities trumped many better-known towns like Greenwich, Ct. (9.16 percent); Laguna Beach, Calif. (8.62 percent); and Malibu, Calif. (6.75 percent).

In the big-city rankings, Chicago came in at No. 6, with 2.42 percent of its households are "fashion-conscious."
