HP Father-Son Enter Realtors Hall of Fame
Larry and Al Klairmont were inducted at a ceremony in Chicago on Thursday.

The Highland Park father-son real estate duo of Larry M. Klairmont and his eldest son Alfred (Al) M. Klairmont were inducted into the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) Hall of Fame on Thursday, September 24 during CAR’s 132nd Inaugural Gala in the Hilton Chicago.
Larry Klairmont is founder and CEO of Imperial Realty Company in Chicago and Al is president.
Imperial Realty has nearly three dozen properties on the North Shore, including 16 office, retail and multi-use properties in Highland Park, one of which - at 636 Central Ave. - is the oldest commercial property in the community.

Larry Klairmont began his real estate career in 1956 when he purchased two industrial buildings during his first venture as a successful business owner of Imperial Cleaners, a 100-store dry cleaning chain, the largest in Chicago at the time (1952-1962).
He purchased the Central Avenue building in 1962.

Al joined the company after he grated from the University of Illinois in 1978.
